General info

I create paintings in watercolour and acrylic with a blend of myth, folklore, divine feminine and surrealism, infused with layers of colour and meaning.

There are many familiar themes that run through my work; nature, iconic female deities, fairytales, ancient text, and hidden symbols. Folklore and symbolism of many cultures, all brought together in my paintings to tell a story. I am a painter, acrylic and watercolour are my main mediums.

Before I put brush to surface, there is usually a time of finding a direction or idea, research, meditation, sketching, and writing. I work out possibilities of composition and colour with different mediums.

I have taken a self directed approach thus far in my career, taking courses in the many places I have lived, and involve myself in my communities art events.
Along side my personal art work, I spend time encouraging and teaching others to explore art in it’s many mediums: painting, scultping, mix media.
I am a multi disciplined artist. Singer/songwriting, African Drumming, and Healing energy work influence my visual art practice. The meaning of words and the vibration of music bring other layers into my work.

Short Bio

I grew up in Calgary AB. I was always interested in some form of art, whether it be painting, drawing, sculpting, music, dancing. I started experimenting with watercolour and evolved into other mediums.
