The Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils (OSAC) is a non-profit charitable organization that works with community arts councils and schools across the province to present visual and performing arts for all ages. Through the Performing Arts in Schools touring program, students from rural, urban, and reserve schools experience artistic performances and workshops in a wide variety of genres. Professional performing artists from Saskatchewan, Canada, and beyond are selected by a jury of teachers, arts educators, and youth for their artistic excellence, curriculum connections, and special ability to engage students.
In the 2025/2026 school year, the School Touring Program presented five tours in the following disciplines: Circus Arts, Magic, Theatre for Elementary and High School Audiences, and Ventriloquism. A total of 88 performances took place in schools in all corners of the province and reached an approximate total audience of 20,893 students.
“OSAC provides schools and students access to a broad variety of theatrical and artistic experiences! Arts opportunities are so important for our students’ creativity, problem-solving, mental health and academic development!”
