"The Gift: A Tribute to Ian Tyson" unites musicians who've collaborated with Tyson for 18 years. Led by pianist Stewart MacDougall, the acclaimed show celebrates Tyson's catalog at venues like Jack Singer Concert Hall and Edmonton Folk Music Festival. With alumni like Thom Moon, Gordie Matthews, Myran Szott, Julian Kerr, Ian Oscar, Tracy Millar, and John Wort Hannam, the group covers 50 years of Tyson's work, including hits like "Four Strong Winds" and "Someday Soon." Special guests, including Amos Garrett and Corb Lund, have joined. Praised by Tyson, the tribute honors his influence on country, folk, and roots music over decades.
