This 4-part workshop series is tailored to OSAC Member Arts Councils that have an established social media presence, but perhaps could use a boost to expand or for those that are brand new to the world of Social Media. Learn to make your social media routine more effective and efficient, broaden your reach, and engage more deeply with your community.

This "Creative Arts Marketing"  interactive workshop-style presentation will be divided into 4 parts:

Session 1: Sharing your story to create engaging content for your unique community - October 15, 2020 7pm

Whether your business is open or closed during this time Evie Lavers of Rhythm Club will share with you her best practices, tips and tricks for engaging your community through content creation to keep your community engaged, Content creation can include article writing, photographs, video, online commentary, the maintenance of social media accounts, and editing and distribution of digital media, or simply reposting. 

Session 2: Facebook Basics - October 22, 2020 7pm

Get the notebook ready! In this session, Evie will share with you her personal best posting practices, tips, and tricks!

Session 3: Instagram Basics - October 29, 2020 7pm

From hashtags to helpful hacks you will not want to miss this Interactive Instagram Workshop. 

Session 4: Ticketing Transformations - November 5, 2020 7pm

In this session, Evie will explain (with supporting Canadian Case Studies) why it’s essential in this day and age to be using an online ticketing portal. She’ll also be joined by  Ann Barker, Director of Operations and Business Development, Ticketpro.


JerryEvie Lavers is the owner of Rhythm Club, a full-service creative agency that specializes in training workshops and solutions for artists, small businesses andnot-for-profit organizations. Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Evie is an innovative entrepreneur who exceeds industry expectations in delivering digital communication campaigns, community-focused content creation, cultural event facilitation and arts administration. Through her practice, both in-person and online, she holds space to create inclusive exchanges of opportunity and accessible educational engagements for her clients and their communities alike.

She is also the co-producer of Tiny Lights Festival, Booking Agent for Maverick Cooperative, Content Creator for Arts BC and Trainer for BC Touring Council. Recent achievements include the addition of her role as an Industry Expert to Arts BC Insight Team; being selected as the only representative from BC to be accepted into the Canada Music Incubator Artist Manager Program in Toronto; sitting as Juror for Creative BC’s Advisory Panel; and volunteering at FACTOR and the Western Australia Music Association Awards.Since 2018 she has successfully secured funding from Community Futures,Music BC and Creative BC to design and deliver workshops worldwide. Colourful client partnerships in 2020 include new training modules for Manitoba Arts Network, Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils, Arts BC and BC Farmer Market.

Evie’s passions are educating community-driven communications, facilitating arts admiration in support of rural communities and promoting inclusivity and systemic changes in the areas of arts, culture and agriculture in Canada and Australia. 


Ann Barker is the Director of Operations and Business Development, Ticketpro

Ann has more than 30 years of ticketing, customer service and marketing experience. She worked in diverse environments like non-profit and highly regulated organizations, and also theatre, performing arts, concerts, festivals and more. With a large range of field experience and strategic roles, Ann became an expert on customer service and operations in the entertainment industry.
