Stegner House is one of Canada’s first artist/writer residency programs, situated in the childhood home of renowned environmentalist and Pulitzer prize winner, Wallace Stegner. Wallace Stegner House is operated entirely by local volunteers from the community of Eastend, Saskatchewan (pop. 503). Over 30 years the House has hosted over 250 artists.

Wallace Stegner House stands as a remarkable model for what “living heritage” can be in our country. It is one of six remaining Canadian community-operated artist/writer residencies situated in the home of a renowned writer/artist.

The community has started a GoFundMe campaign, because, in these times, Stegner House needs help to stay afloat! READ PRESS RELEASE
