Set at the Fortress of Louisbourg in early 1700s New France, Swan Lake reimagines the classic tale in a striking Canadian setting. Odette, a young maiden transformed into a swan by the sorcerer Von Rothbart, lives under his dark enchantment in the surrounding woods. Years later, Prince Siegfried returns from France, pressured to choose a bride, but is drawn instead into the forest where he meets Odette. Their love is tested by deception, betrayal, and fate. Only through sacrifice can Odette’s freedom be won, bringing tragedy and redemption together in a powerful conclusion.
